We wish you a lovely and serene 2012. Our kids are doing well and we always think of you as a crucial part of their recovery. One of our kids is 3 ½ years sober, co-owns a computer company and still does volunteer work. Our other kid is about 20 months sober after a number of relapses and rehab stints. However, she is happy and productive now, and is getting married soon. She goes into jails and prisons to evaluate possible new residents for the program she works for and has helped a few lifers attain parole and recovery, and helps the residents at court at parole hearings. So both our kids now have lives that until recently were unimaginable. Keep fighting the good fight, people can find their way back from the abyss.
