Drunk Driver Crashes into Compton House

A man who drove his vehicle into an occupied house in Compton was arrested with the assistance of neighborhood residents who chased after him when he attempted to flee the scene of the accident.
The drunk driver lost control of his vehicle about 10:25 p.m. and crashed into two parked cars and then into a home in the 13000 block of Aranbe Avenue, according to a Sgt. at the California Highway Patrol.
The man and his passenger fled the scene but were chased by residents and taken into custody by responding police officers. The driver, whose name was not available, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and hit and run. No one was hurt in the crash.
